A new Baume & Mercier showcase in Paris

The Harrison boutique on Rue de la Paix, the centre of luxury watches, will sport the colours of the casual chic Baume & Mercier universe.

The history of the Swiss company since 1830 reads like a veritable saga. From generation to generation, encompassing family connections and friendships alike and from refined complications to visionary innovations, the family dream is thriving and Baume & Mercier watches continue to embody an ideal that is expressed in the company motto: “Accept only perfection, only manufacture watches of the highest quality.” In 2011, a new chapter in the company’s history opened, with the Baume & Mercier universe now symbolised by the spirit of Seaside Living – a philosophy of life in perfect harmony with the authentic values of friendliness, sharing, and sustainability that drive the Maison d’Horlogerie.

This new space is an invitation to escape, far from the madding crowds of the city. Designed to resemble a house, it evokes the soothing atmosphere of the Hamptons, a source of inspiration for the watch brand. Bathed in natural light, this precious setting epitomises the timeless refinement of the Baume & Mercier lifestyle. Decorated with white shutters for an intimate atmosphere, the space features elegant writing desks inviting admirers to select their Baume & Mercier while seated in comfortable cream armchairs. The Capeland, Hampton, Linea and Classima collections wonderfully conjure up this laid-back way of life beside the sea. Genuine landmarks in a changing world, Baume & Mercier watches make life’s highlights last – weddings, anniversaries, births, Mother’s or Father’s day, graduations… Emotions that add a touch of soul to daily existence because “Life is about moments.”

During the inauguration, many Parisians found themselves unable to resist the creations of the Swiss Maison, including its limited edition “Un Violon sur le Sable 25 ème anniversaire”. Indeed Baume & Mercier, the partner for life’s precious moments, was once again to be a key sponsor of this year’s classical music festival in Royan, which is celebrating its first quarter century. Each year the very best musicians, from the Paris Opera in particular, play to enraptured listeners of all ages gathered on the beach. The atmosphere is nothing short of magical.

Baume & Mercier thus affirms its commitment to shared moments of happiness. The special edition “Un Violon sur le Sable 25 ème anniversaire” is sold exclusively at the Harrison boutique and in Royan (Alain boutique) from July 2012.
