Chaumet, 200 years of fine watchmaking

By MyWatch

In 2011, Chaumet, the illustrious jewelry house on Place Vendôme, celebrates 200 years of fine watchmaking.

To mark the occasion, a major exhibition retraces Chaumet’s watchmaking history from the First Empire to today.

Thirty historic timepieces, genuine masterpieces for the most part never shown before, and more than 300 original drawings made by Grand Prix de Rome winners, together with the new 2011 watch creations, will be on public view in the Chaumet Salons on Place Vendôme.

Chaumet invites visitors to discover two centuries of creativity combining the virtuosity of a fine jeweler and the ingenuity of movements made by the most prestigious watchmakers. An encounter at the summit that has won Chaumet the confidence of the most demanding customers, from Napoleon to the present day.
