Named Inspiration4, the first all-civilian mission launched during the night of 15 to 16 September.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>IWC reaches for the stars aboard Inspiration4.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-watchsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/inspiration4-4.jpg\" alt=\"Les quatre membres de l'\u00e9quipage de la mission Inspiration4\" class=\"wp-image-10000016268\" \/><figcaption><strong>The four members of the Inspiration4&nbsp;mission: Christopher Sembroski, Dr Sian Proctor, Commander Jared Isaacman and Hayley Arceneaux.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Four non-professional astronauts, who represents the mission\u2019s values, will board the spacecraft: Commandant&nbsp;Jared&nbsp;Isaacman, CEO of Shift4&nbsp;Payments and accomplished pilot (Leadership), Doctor&nbsp;Sian&nbsp;Proctor, entrepreneur (Prosperity), Christopher&nbsp;Sembroski, aerospace industry employee and US&nbsp;Air&nbsp;Force&nbsp;veteran (Generosity), and finally, Hayley&nbsp;Arceneaux, a physician assistant at St&nbsp;Jude&nbsp;Children\u2019s&nbsp;Research&nbsp;Hospital and a paediatric cancer survivor (Hope).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Farther away than Thomas Pesquet<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During this orbital flight, scheduled to last three days, the SpaceX&nbsp;Dragon capsule will be remotely piloted from the mission control centre (Isaacman will only take the lead in case of an emergency). Specially trained for the mission, the Inspiration4 crew will orbit the earth at an altitude of&nbsp;575km. Fun fact: they will be farther away than Thomas&nbsp;Pasquet who is currently at an altitude of&nbsp;408km&nbsp;in the International&nbsp;Space&nbsp;Station&nbsp;(ISS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An IWC watch in space<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-watchsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/inspiration4-2.jpg\" alt=\"La Montre d'Aviateur Chronographe Edition &quot;Inspiration4&quot; en c\u00e9ramique blanche\" class=\"wp-image-10000016267\" \/><figcaption><strong>The Pilot\u2019s&nbsp;Watch&nbsp;Chronograph&nbsp;Edition&nbsp;\u201cInspiration4\u201d is made of white ceramic, a resistant high-tech material.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>What is on the \u201capprentice\u201d astronaut\u2019s wrists, you ask? An exclusive IWC model: a Pilot\u2019s&nbsp;Watch&nbsp;Chronograph&nbsp;Edition&nbsp;\u201cInspiration4\u201d in white high-tech ceramic.
