The Maison is indeed a leading actor in many key fields: jewellery, high jewellery, watchmaking, perfumes, leather goods or accessories. Its creations, either iconic or ephemeral, illustrate its artisanal savoir-faire and its timeless signature. However, what you might not know \u2013 since Cartier doesn\u2019t talk much about its non profit activities (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XScQrArwtZo&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">see the interview of Cartier\u2019s CEO Cyrille Vigneron with Frank Sans C<\/a>) \u2013 is the creation of the Cartier Women\u2019s Initiative in 2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-project-for-all-women\"><strong>A project for all women<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-watchsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/cartierwomen6.jpg\" alt=\"Les laur\u00e9ates du Cartier Women's Initiative des \u00e9ditions pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes.\" class=\"wp-image-10000019363\" \/><figcaption><strong>Former winners of the Cartier Women\u2019s Initiative.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, this program helps empowering women entrepreneurs to develop their projects and businesses by giving them a financial support. It also values their performance and reveals their natural abilities for leadership. This program is aimed to businesses from any country and any sector. However, they do need to meet some criteria: to be a women-run business with a strong impact on at least one of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.undp.org\/sustainable-development-goals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> United Nations Sustainable Development Goals<\/a> (UN SDGs) set up in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-watchsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/cartierwomen3.jpg\" alt=\"La communaut\u00e9 Cartier Women's Initiative.\" class=\"wp-image-10000019360\" \/><figcaption><strong>The Cartier Women\u2019s initiative community.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"un-sdgs\"><strong>UN SDGs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The 17 \u201cGlobal Goals\u201d aim to end poverty and protect the planet. It also aims to bring peace and prosperity to all people by 2030. It\u2019s in that state of mind that the women of the Cartier\u2019s Women Initiative are providing their creativity, their savoir-faire and their financial resources to reach these \u201cGoals\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote is-style-default\"><blockquote><p><\/p><cite><em>\u201cWith less than a decade left to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (un SDGs) targeted for 2030, we believe that it is important to support \u2013 in equal measure \u2013 projects with proven impact on the ground, global initiatives, and policy change. The Cartier Women\u2019s Initiative results are significant. Indeed, the foundation supported 262 women entrepreneurs from 62 countries with USD 6,440,000 to help their businesses. The number of women also went from 5 in 2017 \u2013 date of the first edition \u2013 to 24 in 2021.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-impacts-awards-are-given-to-former-winners-to-celebrate-the-positive-impact-of-the-cartier-women-s-initiative-program\"><strong>The Impacts Awards are given to former winners to celebrate the positive impact of the Cartier Women\u2019s Initiative program<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-watchsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/cartierwomen5.jpg\" alt=\"Prix d\u00e9cern\u00e9 pour la gagnante des neuf laur\u00e9ates s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es\" class=\"wp-image-10000019362\" \/><figcaption><strong>To celebrate the impact of the program, the Cartier Women\u2019s Initiative has revealed nine Impact Awards winners. They are former winners whose businesses had a significant action.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For the 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary of this program, Cartier wanted to honour former winners who played a significant role in their pursuit of the SDGs since their nomination. The Impact Awards cover three categories: Improving Lives, Preserving the Planet, and Creating Opportunities. The first-place winner of each category will be announced on March 6, 2022, during the Impact Awards Ceremony in Dubai (universal exhibition until March 31, 2022). She will receive a grant of USD 100,000, the second-place will receive USD\u00a060,000 and the third-place will receive USD 30,000. The rest of the awardees will also receive human capital support of USD 10,000 worth.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-watchsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/cartierwomen1.jpg\" alt=\"Les 9 laur\u00e9ates des Impact Awards 2022.\" class=\"wp-image-10000019359\" \/><figcaption><strong>The nine awardees of the Impact Awards 2022.<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Beyond numbers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cFellows routinely report that participating in the program has increased their self-confidence, improved their leadership skills, and expanded their networks<\/em>\u201d, said Wingee Sampaio, Global Program Director of the Cartier Women\u2019s Initiative. Indeed, the women who were interviewed during an online survey in 2021 (40 questions to 228 former winners) said the initiative helped the growing of their business and collaborated to their personal development. The most noteworthy information is that 99% of them have declared that they contributed to at least one of the UN SDGs. Together, they have all taken part in the 17 goals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What does the future hold? For 2023, the Cartier Women\u2019s Initiative will reward 13 different categories and support 39 entrepreneurs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"
