Born in 1963 from the mischievously minimalist pen of Friz Freleng and carried by Henry Mancini’s jazzy theme tune, the Pink Panther has established itself as an icon of absurd elegance. With its slender silhouette, silent humour and keen sense of gentle provocation, all of its DNA is captured here, condensed into a 38 mm diameter steel case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life in pink, exactly<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The inspiration comes directly from The Pink Phink (1964), the first short film in the series, in which the Panther stubbornly repaints the Little Man’s house pink, defying all logic\u2026 and numerous \u2018WET PAINT\u2019 signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the reverse, the transparent case back reveals an iconic scene: the Pink Panther pressed against a freshly painted wall, only her eyes piercing the monochrome. An additional playful detail is hidden on the crown, engraved with a pink diamond \u2013 a tribute to the diamond from the investigation by Parisian Inspector Jacques Clouseau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
