Patrick Kury brings his vast experience in watchmaking and is the key person for Eterna\u2019s technological developments in the past years.<\/div>\n<div>David Vallata joins Eterna from Carl F. Bucherer, where he was Executive Vice President Sales with several years of experience in the Asia-Pacific region. After his appointment as Vice President, he will be in charge of marketing, sales and product development for Eterna and Porsche Design Timepieces.<\/div>\n<div>David Vallata holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Studies. He worked as a consultant for a corporate financial services department and in various capacities with Swiss watch brands. From 2003 on, he was based for a five-year period in Hong Kong and Taipei, where he managed the development of business in China, Taiwan and Japan.<\/div>\n<div>\u201cThanks to his many years of experience in world markets, David Vallata will be able to support vigorously Eterna&#8217;s overall development and commercial expansion. We are very happy to have him on board\u201d, adds Patrick Kury.<\/div>\n<div><strong>The Eterna brand<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Eterna has since 1856 manufactured high-quality mechanical timepieces born of traditional craftsmanship. Over its more than 150 years of existence, numerous major developments have emerged from the company\u2019s workshops. Revolutionary innovations such as the Eterna-Matic ball-bearing-mounted rotor and the first alarm-equipped wristwatch originated at Eterna. Other milestones include the recently developed spring barrel construction mounted on ball-bearings Eterna Spherodrive setting a new reference with respect to quality and longevity of a mechanical movement. As one of a few manufacturers, Eterna values on new ideas and sophisticated materials for its traditional craft. And it is by doing so that Eterna has succeeded time and time again in devising unexpected solutions to watchmaking challenges that had defied the centuries. Eterna today belongs to the China Haidian Group.
