One of the longest leg of the Volvo Ocean Race linking Sanya in China to Auckland in New Zealand has been won by French crew on Groupama 4 with onboard the New Zealander crewmember \u201cBrad Marsh\u201d who became today the star of his country.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Franck Cammas, JeanRichard Watches\u2019s ambassador and his men led the race through a difficult sea and strong winds during more than 5220 miles covered in 19 days.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The six crews &#8211; in order of arrival: Groupama (FR), Puma (United States), Telefonica (ESP), Camper (NZ), Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Sanya (CPP) fought in a battle while overcoming severe winds of more than 30 nodes, and waves of more than 6 meters.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This is the first French victory since 1977 on Auckland\u2019s finish line; only Alain Gabbay on Export 33 had won on handicap back.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This victory allows French crew of Groupama 4 to gain a place in the overall standing and therefore to take the second place behind the Spanish Telefonica.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On the wrist of Franck Cammas since he left Alicante, Spain on November 4th, the Diverscope from the Swiss watchmaker JEANRICHARD successfully shared the first half of this crewed round the world race with stopovers that will end in Galway, Ireland on July 7th.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.my-watchsite.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/299_737.jpg\" alt=\"Franck Cammas on his arrival in Auckland, with on the wrist the Diverscope of JeanRichard. \u00a9Yvan Zedda\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday, March 10, 10:33 UTC.
