A new royal shop for Herbelin
The French watchmaking brand resets the clocks to Paris’ time with the opening of their new shop on rue Royale. Between Concorde and Madeleine, French elegance flirts with modernity in this new jewelry box. Who said you can’t celebrate 75 years of know-how without looking a day older?
A new chapter opens for Herbelin, with this new choice shop rue Royale. After a first successful Parisian spot rue Bonaparte, in the upper-class quarter of Saint-Germain-Des-Prés, the watchmaking house carries on their elegant conquest of the capital city by making a home for themselves (and their timepieces) on one of Paris’s most prestigious arteries. Nested between place de la Concorde and the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene, this location is a real nod to refinement à la française.
Following on from their previous Parisian shop, this new spot was designed as a true dialogue between past and present. In the quarter where Napoleon used to revel in soulful pieces of art, Rue Royal retaliates with Parisian classicism: carved stones, vaulted ceiling, preserved mouldings… Inside, everything has been respected, admired, almost murmured, like a silent tribute to the passing of time – professional habit.
Although the facade is voluntarily discreet, the interior counts on the thrill of discovery. Upon 80m2, the walls unveil traces of their own history, highlighted by contemporary furniture that give prominence to the collections (Newport, Cap Camarat, Octogône, etc.). The atmosphere is meant to be intimate and soothing: a truthful luxury, never gaudy, a place where everyone can feel at home, plain and simple.
Founded in 1947 in the Jura, Herbelin has been embodying for more than 75 years a family know-how where precision rhymes with elegance and creativity.
