For thirty years, OMEGA has accompanied every Hollywood adventure of His Majesty’s most famous secret agent: James Bond. In 2026, the Biel-based watchmaker is opening a new chapter in this iconic relationship. It steps into the gaming universe to mark the release of the game 007 First Light. And now, around 007’s wrist is the brand-new Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light — the design of this timepiece is the one of a virtual adventure. But it is also available in boutiques in the real world.

OMEGA has chosen to turn fiction into reality. It brings this instrument to life and officially adds the timepiece to its core James Bond lineup. Developed by IO Interactive — the studio behind the Hitman series — in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, 007 First Light delves into the early days of the British secret agent. Players step into the shoes of a 26-year-old James Bond. He is a fresh recruit out to prove his worth at MI6. In this reimagined story about the origins of 007, the timepiece takes centre stage. In the game, it comes fitted with an electronic hacking device and a laser strap: a vital gadget for pulling off the mission.

This new model marks a first in the history of 007 timepieces. A James Bond Seamaster Diver 300M has never featured a chronograph function before. This is no mere aesthetic choice either. The sub-dials tie directly into the gameplay. After all, accurate timing is always useful — especially when you are defusing a bomb! In its real-world watchmaking guise, the timepiece boasts a highly contemporary, sporty character. Its 44mm stainless steel case houses a polished black ceramic bezel. A diving scale in white enamel completes it. The pushers, also crafted from polished black ceramic, highlight the timepiece’s distinct character and technical credentials.

The dial is equally impressive. Fashioned from black ceramic, it highlights the laser-engraved wave pattern: a hallmark of the Diver 300M. At 3 o’clock, the sub-dial ring stands out thanks to a PVD bronze-gold treatment. It is also applied to the central chronograph hand. True to diving watch specifications, this hand showcases a luminescent ‘lollipop’ tip to serve as a power reserve indicator. The other hands and hour markers are rhodium-plated. They ensures legibility in the dark thanks to their Super-LumiNova filling. The red Seamaster hallmark delivers a final pop of colour.

OMEGA has also paid close attention to the strap for this edition. The timepiece comes on an exclusive NATO strap inspired by the visual world of 007 First Light. Its blend of black, grey, and beige stripes evokes the colour palette of the timepiece worn by Bond in No Time to Die. It adopts a design unique to the video game. The bespoke Seamaster buckle, alongside the 007 and First Light engravings on the metal keepers, cements its ties to the gaming universe. Six alternative NATO straps, inspired by variations available in the game, will be sold separately.

Beating at the heart of the timepiece is the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900. This self-winding movement is certified to the brand’s most exacting standards. It displays a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock and a combined 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at 3 o’clock with an intuitive legibility. Visible through the sapphire case back, the movement is topped by the 007 First Light logo. It is black-metallised and printed on the underside of the glass.

The whole set comes in a special jewellery box, styled after the briefcase used to transport OMEGA timepieces in the game. With this Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 Edition, OMEGA is not simply adding another timepiece to its long-standing relationship with James Bond. The manufacture is aligning itself with the cultural evolution of the franchise. It has seamlessly transitioned from the silver screen to the interactive world. There is no two ways about it, this fictional watch doesn’t just tell the time, it looks the part — making it an absolute must-have for collectors and 007 fans.
