EDITION 2025

Chopard vibrates to the rhythm of the engines of the Mille Miglia.

For the 38th consecutive year, the watchmaker is renewing its partnership as World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper of this legendary race. Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of the Maison, is both passionate about and a key player in this adventure and will once again take part on June 17, accompanied by the illustrious driver Jacky Ickx, a friend and ambassador of the brand.

The 2025 Mille Miglia promises to be unforgettable

More than 400 classic vehicles – all eligible according to the criteria of the original race (1927-1957) – will set off from June 17 to 21 on a legendary route linking Brescia to Rome and back, punctuated by famous passes such as Raticosa and Futa.

Mille Miglia 2024, Siena

Crossing historic cities and breathtaking panoramas – Verona, Ferrara, San Marino, Livorno – the Mille Miglia remains an endurance challenge where precise timing is paramount, in order to maintain average speeds over defined segments. An ideal playground for Chopard, whose link between fine watchmaking and motorsport takes on its full meaning here.

Alongside the race, Chopard is unveiling two new watches from its Mille Miglia collection. The first, the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss, pays tribute to Moss’s historic performance in 1955, accompanied by his co-driver Denis Jenkinson.

Limited to 70 pieces, this model commemorates the 70th anniversary of their achievement, marked by a record average speed of 157.65 km/h. With a diameter of 40.5 mm, the watch is crafted from Lucent Steel™, Chopard’s own steel, machined with an 80% recycling rate and 50% harder than traditional steel and anti-allergenic.

Featuring welded lugs reminiscent of the construction of retro racing cars, the case houses an opaline silver dial, protected by a domed “glass box” sapphire crystal and enhanced with a tachymeter scale.

The opaline silver dial recalls the matte silver finish of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR driven by Stirling Moss during his victory – an icon of the Silver Arrows era.

1955 Mille Miglia

Offering approximately 54 hours of power reserve, it is visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, the rim of which is engraved with the Mille Miglia motif, the date of the race and the record time of the Moss-Jenkinson crew; in the center, the intertwined checkered flag of the Union Jack appears, thus recalling the British origins of Sir Stirling Moss.

The sapphire crystal is also engraved with a checkered flag intertwined with the Union Jack, a tribute to Sir Stirling Moss’s British origins.

Mille Miglia GTS Power Control – 2025 Race Edition: sporty and racy

The Mille Miglia GTS Power Control – 2025 Race Edition

While harmonizing with the small azure seconds at 6 o’clock, this soft shade contrasts with the imposing black hands and indexes, as well as with the power reserve indicator (60 hours) reminiscent of a fuel gauge (between 8 and 10 o’clock), and a date at 3 o’clock.

The salmon-colored dial with a satin finish evokes the aluminum bodies and painted metal dashboards of classic cars.

Through a transparent caseback, the automatic caliber – Chronometer-certified by the COSC – is equipped with an oscillating weight shaped like a racing car steering wheel. Motorsport runs through the veins of this timepiece, notably with its very racing perforated black calfskin strap, lined with rubber adorned with a Dunlop tire track pattern.

The watch is presented on a perforated black calfskin strap with a Lucent Steel™ pin buckle, lined with rubber with a Dunlop racing tire tread pattern – a Chopard signature.

In Brescia’s Piazza Vittoria and in the paddocks, enthusiasts of fine mechanics will have the opportunity to discover these watches, true illustrations of Chopard’s passion for automobiles. For others, visit the brand’s boutiques.
