TAG HEUER, Carrera Date: bright and flashy colours
For the 60th anniversary of the Carrera collection – named after the famous Mexican motor racing competition Panamericana – multiple variations were introduced in a colourful palette suited for the summer. These two 36-mm steel versions boast sun-brushed dials in vibrant pink and in pastel green.
The bright colour of the very trendy first version pops and is contrasted by the rhodium-plated, faceted hands and indices coated in green luminescent material. As for the second version, it displays more understated tones of green in perfect harmony with the rose gold elements.
While the design is definitely a success, the automatic movement is just as impressive. The precise, high-performance Calibre 7 offers a 56-hour power reserve and powers the date display in the 6 o’clock aperture. At the back, the see-through sapphire caseback reveals the intricate finishes and carefully decorated oscillating weight of the movement. The Carrera Date, which is water-resistant up to 50 metres, is the perfect partner to hang out by the pool.
BREITLING, SuperOcean Automatic 44: dive into a sea of colours
There is no better holiday watch for lovers of extreme sports than the SuperOcean, inspired by a model from the 1960s-1970s. Its 300-m water resistance, screwed-in crown and caseback, unidirectional bezel and luminescent-coated hands and indices for optimum visibility even in great depths are all attributes of a true diving instrument. And this 44-mm reference in steel has them all. It also boasts a gorgeous teal dial with a white flange.
This super-model is available in four different diameters (46, 44, 42 and 36 mm), many different coloured dials (navy blue, khaki green, orange, white, brown, etc.), various coloured bezels (white, black, blue, green), three case materials (steel, steel/gold and bronze) and multiple, coloured rubber straps (black, white, orange, teal, green, navy blue, brown).

TISSOT, PRX Powermatic 80: the colours of time
Tissot’s iconic PRX collection, reinterpreted in 2021, takes you back to the 80s with its lines and tonneau-shaped dial topped with a thin, polished bezel. This year, the Maison has added a few variations – all water-resistant up to 100m – which come dressed in new, timeless colours. The PRX Powermatic 80 boasts an ice blue dial with its signature honeycomb pattern, and is delivered with either a metal bracelet or a rubber strap.
OMEGA, Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades: to each their own colour
The Aqua Terra collection by Omega Seamaster is a multiplayer, known for its innovative performance, diving capabilities and urban elegance.
The dials of the new models from the Shades collection, fashioned from brass, are sun-brushed and become almost kaleidoscopic with their very realistic lacquered design. They pay tribute to the sea (Lagoon Green, Atlantic Blue, Shell Pink, etc.) and to the earth (Terracotta, Saffron, Sandstone, Bay Green, etc.).
Five coloured variations of each diameter (34 mm or 38 mm) were added to this collection of steel watches powered by the Co-axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800. This calibre guarantees high quality, precision and magnetic resistance. This 34-mm version with the shell pink dial is no exception.
ORIS, Aquis Date 36.5 mm: candy colours for the summer
The versatile new Aquis Date by Oris is both a stylish and reliable watch, easy to wear in the city, under the sea, on the dancefloor or atop a mountain. Its mother-of-pearl dial exists in three candy-coloured, iridescent variations: Aegean Blue, Blush Pink and Seafoam Green. All come with a matching rubber bracelet. Not only does the watch play with colours, it also defies the limits of submarine technical performance: it is equipped with a 300-m water resistance, a unidirectional rotating bezel with a minutes scale to time dives, a screwed-in crown and a luminescent indicator called “lollipop” on the seconds hand to check that it is working even in the depths of the ocean.

LONGINES, HydroConquest: back to black
Who said that black is not a real colour?! Definitely not Jean Lassaussois, who brought a Longines HydroConquest entirely crafted in black ceramic. The deep, matte black dial displays the chemical composition – ZrO2 – of the timepiece and is decorated with big, luminescent numerals and hour markers, which ensure optimum visibility under all circumstances. This 43-mm watch answers the diving requirements for it is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screwed-in crown and a 300-m water resistance. Its sporty design all comes together with the clever adjusting mechanism of the black, rubber strap. An ideal design to go with your diving suit.
