Scott Chapman, RFDS Victoria CEO, said he warmly welcomed the new partnership with Oris. “The RFDS is a non-profit organisation that relies on the support of the Australian community, including the business community, to continue delivering its services across Australia. We are delighted to have Oris on board.“
Mr Chapman stated that the support of Oris would help RFDS to continue its life-saving work, which includes emergency aeromedical evacuations in some of the most isolated and harshest regions of Australia.
Starting with a single flight in 1928, the RFDS is now the most comprehensive aero-medical service in the world. Operating a fleet of 61 aircraft, 21 aeromedical bases and five remote primary health care facilities, the RFDS also delivers more than 14’000 health clinics in communities across Australia every year.
Peter Borghouts, General Manager of Oris Australia, expressed that Oris are proud to be the watch partner of the RFDS and to support their vital work.
In close collaboration with RFDS Oris will develop a RFDS Limited Edition watch, further emphasizing the commitment of this partnership. A percentage of every Oris RFDS Limited Edition model sold is donated towards RFDS to continue taking the finest care to the furthest corners of this vast continent.
