Two ORIS limited series in homage to the Austin Healey 100M winner of the RAID Suisse-Paris 2010

The RAID Suisse-Paris originated in 1991 and involves pre-1975 classic cars participating in a picturesque 600-mile contest that begins in Basel and ends in Paris. Oris, the official time keeper and watch partner of the unique RAID Suisse-Paris rallye, has launched two new distinctive limited edition watches which pay homage to the honourable winner of the RAID 2010: the prestige Austin Healey 100M, 1953.
The intricate dials of both the Oris RAID 2011 Chronograph Edition and Oris RAID 2011 Alarm Edition have been inspired by the characteristic dashboard design of the Austin Healey 100M, 1953 (named after the cars’ ability to exceed 100mph). Enhancing the resilience of each model, the chronograph movement is housed within a stainless steel case with double curved sapphire crystal and a non reflective coating on the inside, whilst the RAID Suisse-Paris logo is exclusively displayed on the case back.
Limited to 500 pieces, the Oris RAID 2011 Chronograph Edition features innovative design functions which are instrumental in assisting the co pilot to time the rallye legs. The number 21 of the date disc is printed in red, in respect to the 21st RAID Suisse- Paris.
The beautifully crafted Oris RAID 2011 Alarm edition, limited to 50 pieces, has a skilfully constructed alarm function with its own central display and red pointer hand which can be easily activated at the touch of a button – enabling the rallye team to accurately target the arrival time.
