Version Watches open a new chapter on Kickstarter
On September 24, Version Watches will launch its new collection on Kickstarter. Founded by Cybèle Vigneron and Carla Lanfranchini, the young independent watchmaker is introducing the V0201 TH, a timepiece featuring a semi transparent dial that reveals its automatic movement. Available in three colors and limited to 300 pieces, the watch marks a new milestone in the brand's development.
A dial poised between sky and mechanics
Inspired by the sleek profile of the Concorde, the precision of jet turbines, and above all the design of Andrée Putman, the V0201-TH brings the supersonic world to the wrist. Yet it is the dial, above all, that embodies this inspiration.
Its satin finish white base is traversed by a colored, translucent window that subtly reveals the automatic movement in silhouette. Depending on the lighting, the caliber can thus be made out behind the surface, like a mechanism glimpsed through the clouds. The bezel is engraved with polished “grains of rice” motifs, while the “railway-track” flange evokes turbines and their repetitive motion.
Three colorways alter the perception of this dial: forest green for twilight, blood orange for dawn, and azure blue for the sky. Each evokes a different moment from the sun’s final ray to high altitude while maintaining the same interplay of color, light, and transparency. Each version is produced in a run of 100, making for a collection limited to 300 pieces.
The inner workings laid bare
Behind this opening lies a skeletonized Sellita automatic movement, the architecture of which further enhances the play of transparency. Featuring an engraved oscillating weight, it offers a power reserve of approximately 41 hours and can be admired from the back through a transparent case back. The 38 mm 316L steel case alternates between polished and brushed surfaces, while the crown is topped with a colored cabochon that matches each specific version.
A campaign to launch the collection
For its launch, the V0201-TH will be available exclusively on Kickstarter from September 24 to October 24, 2026. The first 100 pre-orders will benefit from a price of €850, ahead of its general release at €1,495. Act fast supplies are limited!
