DESCRIPTION

  • Lange & Shöne CABARET: Big art on a small scene

Combining black and pink gold in a rectangular shape, this men’s watch was created by the Glashütt manufacture; a supreme delight of watchmaking and aesthetism, even backstage.

Freshness of newness, insolence and imagination, this is the cabaret, a small scene displaying the every-day-life art, mixed with a lot of energy and, sometimes, a little bit of frivolity. The freshness of newness, a whip of insolence and a lot of imagination, these are also the qualities of Lange’s CABARET - the big art at the service of watchmaking precision, displayed on the smallest scene of the world.

Let us just go to the heart of the timepiece: the elegant, rectangular men watch has a new name. Curtain up on the CABARET, which combines black and pink gold, the most recent watchmaking masterpiece by Glashütte. Curtain up on Lange’s patented grande date, an amazing charm which keeps renovating. Perfectly enhanced by the black dial of this watch, this grande date attracts everybody’s attention. Let us get closer: right after midnight, the date’s quadrature of the circle is still displayed. Extra-Large. Precise: it displays the date almost five times more legibly than other mechanical watches of comparable size. And curtain up on the little second, which turns on a silver circle. It plays the role of the wise clown of the troupe: everything turns around, it is CABARET time. The other actors are the delicate pink gold hands, which express themselves in the beautiful and clear language of Lange’s watches to accompany the hours and the minutes.

And it all takes place in a proportional, pink-gold scene, divided into three parts, featuring an extravagant architecture. In the interlude, take also a look to the backstage. A supreme aesthetic delight is waiting for you. Behind the glass case back screwed at six points, Lange’s watchmaking artistry reflects a state-of-the art evolution. The L931.3 movement, specially brought together for Lange, is waved by a plate made of untreated German silver, screwed gold chatons, a balance and a hand-engraved balance bridge, with the precision swan-neck regulator patented system.

And then, Lange’s directors allowed themselves a little whip of frivolity embellishing the crocodile strap with red selvedges. Almost like a red velvet curtain. CABARET is also that: The purest elegance.
