Elegance and character for the new Classima Executives watches by Baume & Mercier
In today’s busy world, time is a luxury. Developed with today’s businessmen and decision-makers in mind, the Classima Executives line by Baume & Mercier is now being enriched by five new models endowed with a range of more decidedly technical characteristics including sophisticated mechanical horological features, hightech materials and sleek designs.
While maintaining the understated elegance of the classic round watch, reinterpreted with a contemporary twist by the Baume & Mercier Design Studio, the 2010 new releases in the Classima Executives line are set against a dynamic urban background.
With its new “Classima Executives XL” collection, Baume & Mercier is treating devotees of traditional watchmaking to three classic high-end models equipped with mechanical complication movements and adorned with elegant horological finishing details. On their white or silver-colored dials graced with finely guilloché-worked “grain d’orge” décor, these new models fitted with black alligator leather straps display various combinations of chronograph, power reserve, moon phase or complete calendar functions.
With the new “Classima Executives Magnum XXL”, the Classima Executives line in turn combines ruggedness and virile boldness. After interpreting these signature characteristics in recent years through the Hampton and Riviera lines, Baume & Mercier is now introducing two sophisticated and charismatic new chronographs in polished/satin-finished and sand-blasted steel or in steel with a black PVD coating, luminescent hands and hourmarkers set against black dials, along with profiled pushers and natural vulcanized rubber straps.
The new Classima Executives watches by Baume & Mercier: timepieces designed for today’s active metropolitan men, whether they see themselves as “business class”, urban adventurers… or both!
Classima Executives Magnum XXL Chronograph Black PVD Steel (8853)
For this distinctive chronograph, Baume & Mercier has designed a new fluted case in black satin-finished and sand-blasted PVDcoated steel, accentuated by profiled push-pieces and driven by a mechanical self-winding movement. Screwed down to guarantee perfect water-resistance to 200 meters, the case-back is fitted with a triangular-shaped opening revealing the oscillating weight adorned with “Côtes de Genève”. The black dial is enlivened by riveted “appliqué” rhodium-plated hour-markers coated with Superluminova®*, along with luminescent hollowed hands ensuring optimal readability. The fluted screw-down crown is adorned with the Phi symbol. The date appears at 6 o’clock, the chronograph at 3 o’clock (minutes) and the small seconds at 9 o’clock.
