DESCRIPTION
- The Jules Audemars collection has consistently drawn upon the full measure of expertise within the Manufacture in order to offer exceptional creations. The Jules Audemars Selfwinding Watch, equipped with the exclusive Calibre 3120, features a superb blend of horological performance, comfort and refinement, while remaining faithful to the classic spirit of the collection.
Elegant classicism
Audemars Piguet treats this exceptional model to a delicately guilloché dial featuring a “Spiral” motif that enhances the pure outline of the round case. This understated background makes the perfect setting for the “leaf-type” hands, elegantly simple Roman numerals, pared-down hour circle and an aperture highlighted by an exquisite frame. This refined design is interpreted in two versions: the pink gold case surrounds a silvered dial graced with pink gold numerals, while the white gold dial features a black dial with white gold numerals. Each of these two versions may also be topped by a gold bezel set with a row of brilliant-cut diamonds.
Calibre 3120
This selfwinding calibre developed by Audemars Piguet is distinguished by a certain number of characteristics, starting with a direct-drive centre seconds hand that does away with one source of friction. The cross-through balance-bridge also ensures enhanced reliability, while the rating precision is further improved thanks to an over sixty-hour power reserve.
In addition to these innovations, Calibre 3120 offers several extremely user-friendly features:
–a time-setting system equipped with a balance-stop mechanism that holds the seconds hand motionless;
–ultra-precise adjustment that remains stable thanks to a variable inertia balance fitted with eight inertia-blocks;
–semi-instant date jump;
–rapid date adjustment;
–bidirectional automatic winding driven by a 22-carat gold rotor mounted on ceramic ball-bearings.

In a discreet touch of refinement, the sapphire crystal caseback reveals the manual decoration of this exclusive movement. The bridges are harmoniously aligned around the cross-through balance-bridge. Adorned with “côtes de Genève”, they beautifully highlight the bevelling of the screw heads and slots as well as the perfectly polished chamfering around the holes. The bevels, countersinks and sinks are diamond-polished and the mainplate is stippled. Finally, the “pavements” – the zones below the oscillating weight – are snailed, while the 22-carat gold oscillating weight itself is engraved with the AP monogram as well as the Audemars and Piguet family crests.
