With the development of the P. 9000, P. 9001 and P. 9002, Officine Panerai, originally a supplier of highly specialized watches to the Royal Italian Navy, further affirms itself as one of the few high-end watch manufacturer. This undertaking has been accomplished in a very short time: eight in-house calibres operational and available in just seven years, with the development of the first calibre dating back to 2002.
