The chronograph is undoubtedly the most popular of all horological complications. Already strongly present in Audemars Piguet's sports collections, it is now given a place of honour within the contemporary Millenary collection. A first chronograph paved the way in 2009, now followed by the second selfwinding chronograph to join the collection. Also crafted in pink gold and loyal to its distinctive design codes, it embodies excellence on all levels. The generously sized 18-carat pink gold case is distinguished by its finishing. The tachometric scale appearing in white against an anthracite background bears Arabic numerals and serves to measure speed of travel. For example, if the time elapsed between the moment when the wearer starts and stops the chronograph is equivalent to 20 seconds, the average speed over a 1000-metre distance – read off on the tachometric scale – is 180 km/h.
