HERBELIN enriches its iconic Newport col- lection with a new generation of automatic Moon Phase timepieces, combining horo- logical sophistication, French design, and Swiss movement.

For nearly forty years, the Newport collec- tion has embodied the Maison’s spirit: an aesthetic inspired by the nautical world, balanced proportions, and an immediately recognizable signature.

The introduction of a new complication, displaying the moon phases in both hemi- spheres, brings both a technical and poet- ic dimension to this iconic collection.

A DIAL INSPIRED BY THE LUNAR SURFACE

The new Newport Moon Phase models stand out for their particularly refined dial craftsmanship.

Depending on the version, the watches feature deep blue lacquered dials, genu- ine mother-of-pearl, or a distinctive “lunar surface” dial, whose textured finish subtly evokes the relief and craters of Earth’s sat- ellite in shades of blue or grey.

This lunar surface dial creates a natural aesthetic dialogue with the complication positioned at 6 o’clock, enhancing the watch’s visual harmony while adding a unique sense of depth to the dial.

Faceted applied indices and finely crafted hands complete the ensemble with ele- gance and optimal legibility.

A HIGH-PERFORMANCE SWISS AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT

At the heart of the new Newport Moon Phase models beats a Swiss-made Sellita SW280-2 Power+ automatic movement, renowned for its robustness and precision.

Each movement is then inspected and adjusted in Herbelin’s workshops in Char- quemont, in the heart of the Haut-Doubs watchmaking region, in accordance with the Maison’s exacting precision standards.

THE NEWPORT DNA

Created in 1988, the Newport collection has become one of HERBELIN’s signa- ture watch lines. Inspired by the maritime world, it is distinguished by strong design codes:

• a bezel punctuated with visible screws,
• distinctive central lugs,
• a balanced and highly legible dial archi- tecture.

The new Newport Moon Phase models are available with either leather or steel bracelets, as well as in steel or two-tone versions, offering a range of styles from classic elegance to a more sporty appeal.

INDEPENDENT FRENCH WATCHMAKING

Since 1947, Herbelin has designed, assem- bled, and inspected its timepieces in its workshops in Charquemont, at the heart of the French Jura mountains. Independent and family-owned, the Maison perpetu- ates a demanding watchmaking expertise, combining French design, Swiss move- ments, and in-house assembly in the Jura.

With the new Newport Automatic Moon Phase models, Herbelin presents a new interpretation of its nautical icon: a tech- nical, elegant, and timeless timepiece, de- signed to accompany time with precision and character.

HERBELIN: THE ELEGANCE OF TIME, FRENCH EXCELLENCE

Herbelin is a French, family-owned, and independent watchmaking company founded in 1947 by Michel Herbelin in Charquemont, in the Haut-Doubs region—at the very heart of France’s historic fine watchmaking cradle, near the Swiss border.

For over 75 years, Herbelin has upheld a tradition of artisanal excellence, combining design, technical engineering, and assembly in its own workshops. Each timepiece is assembled, adjusted, and meticulously inspected by hand in France to ensure impeccable quality. Herbelin exclusively selects high-precision Swiss movements renowned for their reliability, smooth performance, and durability, guaranteeing optimal functionality for every watch.

The company relies on a team of 50 specialized professionals, many trained at the renowned watchmaking schools of the Haut- Doubs, cultivating know-how passed down through generations and enriched by a rigorous policy of continuous training.

Since 2020, the company has been led by Maxime and Mathieu Herbelin—grandsons of the founder—alongside Cédric Gomez- Montiel and Benjamin Theurillat, representing a new generation of passionate watchmakers.

In 2022, Herbelin opened its first global flagship store in Paris at 58 rue Bonaparte, in the iconic Saint- Germain-des-Prés district.

By 2024, annual production reached 85,000 watches, distributed through 3,000 points of sale in more than 50 countries.

Remaining true to its founding heritage, the Maison continues to grow by blending traditional watchmaking expertise with timeless elegance and carefully curated innovation.

Building on the success of its first flagship, Herbelin opened a second boutique in 2025 on the Right Bank of Paris, at 8 Rue Royale.
