Pilot’s Watch Chronograph rose gold
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph in its 42mm case is a style icon. A working tool on land and in the air. Its instrument-like character appears in an entirely different light in the new rose gold case.
Economy, Business or First? Aviation also has its little differences. At IWC Schaffhausen, too, it was frequently the case that a working tool such as a pilot’s watch was expected to retain its extraordinary functionality, and yet be distinctively appealing. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph from the Classic range in the new rose gold case is one such instance. Its colour combination alone makes it an ideal match. And quite a temptation for all who aspire to fly “First” class. For concealed within the precious metal shell is the same durable technical core that made its counterpart in a stainless steel case one of the most popular pilot’s watches from Schaffhausen. The 79320 calibre chronograph movement, with automatic winding, is protected by a soft iron inner case and is thus extremely antimagnetic. It records aggregate times up to 12 hours and displays the date and the day of the week. Its small seconds hand with a stop function as a means of controlling the time deviation is in signal red. The sapphire glass, anti-reflective on both sides and secured against a sudden drop in air pressure, curves over the optimally legible instrument-type indications in stark white on a black background. With the high-contrast minute graduations and the “propeller hands” common to all IWC pilot’s watches, it is a statement of absolute professionalism. With its ideal size of 42mm, this watch fits any wrist, not merely as an adornment but also as a tool for serious sport.
