Back in bronze

When we presented the redesigned Oris ProPilot Date last November, we added to our collection a timeless aviation-inspired watch designed for everyday adventures – and also a new template for creative expression. Now, we’re delighted to introduce the characterful ProPilot Bronze, which features a 41.00 mm case, oversized crown and clasp in bronze, paired with a dark green suede strap that complements and enhances bronze’s natural hues, particularly during its natural oxidisation process. This mature, confident colour and material palette breathes a fresh, calm energy into the ProPilot’s familiar form. In time, each piece’s profile will change as the metal oxidises, while its base features will of course remain. Those include the ProPilot’s signature fluted bezel inspired by jet engine turbines, the grippy crown based on a 1938 Oris design for gloved airmen, and the ultra-legible dial layout, which is elevated by lumed hands and indices. Under that dial, the ultra-reliable Swiss Made automatic mechanical Calibre Oris 733 provides the watch with time and date functions and a 41-hour power reserve. And, as ever, the ProPilot’s fan-favourite ‘LIFT’ clasp remains, a playful original Oris design evolved from passenger aircraft seatbelts. As is befitting of its everyday adventure fundamentals, the ProPilot Bronze is water-resistant to 10 bar (100 m).
