THE SANDS OF TIME

At Dubai Watch Week, it’s our great pleasure to introduce the ProPilot Desert Edition, a special version of the freshly updated ProPilot Date, one of our most loved contemporary aviation-themed designs. The new ProPilot Date’s case has been gently reshaped so it has a more pronounced silhouette with clean, visually sharp lines, while the dial ring, applied numerals and slimmed-down hands have all been reworked to feel more modern and dynamic. For this Desert Edition, the 41.00 mm case has been formed in a lightweight carbon fibre, produced using an innovative additive manufacturing and moulding technique pioneered in watchmaking by Oris engineers. This sits on a black hybrid rubber and textile strap with a new expression of the ProPilot Date’s famous ‘LIFT’ clasp that has now been redesigned to offer greater refinement and step- less adjustment. Together, these elements combine to deliver first-class ergonomics and usability, even in hot, arid conditions. The crown, oversized bezel and case back are in stainless steel and finished with a grey PVD coating that matches the colour of the carbon fibre case middle and lugs. The watch also has a grained ‘sandbeige’ dial inspired by the colour and texture of the desert, while high-contrast black hands and numerals ensure superb legibility. Punchy red detailing speaks to the watch’s adventurous profile. Every detail in the ProPilot Desert Edition has been chosen to deliver enhanced wearability and performance.
