The Reverso Squadra – the first ever Reverso to deliberately turn its back on the famous rectangular proportions to adopt a case with daring square lines – celebrates a return to the sporting origins of the reversible watch, which lie firmly in polo. In admirably understated style, it embodies the timeless values of this equestrian sport that has found its way across continents and down through the generations thanks to its inherently modern spirit. The Reverso Squadra line now welcomes two complementary models: the Reverso Squadra Hometime Black, the indispensable traveller’s watch; and the Reverso Squadra Chronograph GMT Black, the sports watch capable of measuring performance times. Both are issued in steel and in limited series of 500 in 18-carat gold.

The reference time is displayed by a red openworked hand serving as an immediate reminder of the time in one’s place of residence. A rectangular aperture at 9 o’clock displays the indispensable am/pm indication to help the user find his way through the maze of time zones, while the symmetrically arranged opening directly opposite at 3 o’clock is dedicated to the travel time. Driven by the mechanical Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 977 movement, the Reverso Squadra Hometime Black features a number of technical innovations reinforcing its ruggedness and reliability: a balance-bridge screwed on either side to the mainplate to ensure enhanced stability, as well as two catches to avoid any distortion of the mainspring even in the case of violent impacts.
