By giving you a new way of reading the time, the Tambour Spin Time collection makes contingent time a moment of pure pleasure. To achieve this, it is introducing two new, highly innovative and playful watches this year.
1- Tambour Spin Time GMT
A men’s watch in white gold, size XL (44 mm), paired with a leather strap and driven by a self-winding mechanical calibre.
Style
Resolutely high-tech and contemporary, with a clean, elegant design, this Tambour model features an innovation in watchmaking that is easy to understand and easy to use! Its name, Spin Time, evokes the rotation of the stems that display the hours.
Calibre LV 119
The Swiss-made LV 119 calibre displays the jumping hours in an original new way. It also features GMT, a date window at 4.30 and the LeVel Up system.
Inventiveness
The secret of its hour display is the simultaneous rotation of two of the twelve visible staffs (current hour/next hour). At the end of each is a cube alternately showing a numbered or neutral side, the latter being engraved with the famous and historical Louis Vuitton “V”. The open design of the dial affords a view of the internal mechanism, with its 12 ingenious components in the form of a Maltese cross, incorporated into each microscopic rotating shaft. These turn each staff and its cube by a quarter rotation, twice per half-day. With its light, airy appearance, this movement has a solid, durable architecture. To conclude, this original and extremely reliable construction allows for an unusual, creative 24-hour display, and with its yellow GMT hours hand, also displays a second time zone.

The Tambour Spin Time GMT and Joaillerie feature the innovative LeVel Up system which will appeal to all those who appreciate true technical mastery. Our watch designers at the Louis Vuitton workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds pooled their talents to develop the Spin Time calibre and the LeVel Up crown stem lifting system.
Inspired by the transfer box in a car, LeVel Up makes it easier to move the crown and also makes the watch more comfortable on the wrist. It consists of a group of toothed wheels engaged with an internal toothed wheel, controlling winding as well as date and hour adjustments.
