DESCRIPTION
- In salute to feminine elegance, Breguet Haute Joaillerie is premiering two new collections this year, both inspired by the delicate charm and simplicity of queen Marie-Antoinette’s Petit Trianon royal estate.
The restoration of the Petit Trianon with Breguet’s financial support has made it possible to reopen the Petit Trianon domain to the general public. Today, the estate is an enchanting site to visit. Contrasting with the pomp of the Versailles court, its quiet serenity and dreamlike atmosphere designed by and for women enthrall the visitor. Marie-Antoinette herself was reputed for her love of beautiful objects and in particular for her fascination with exceptional jewellery. Of simple yet refined taste, she enjoyed Nature and gardens, flowers, pastel colors and the cool summer atmosphere of the various pavilions forming her estate. The latter’s easygoing charm provided our designers with the inspiration for two new delicate and graceful jewellery sets.
