Master of naturalism, Chaumet has celebrated nature in movement for over 200 years. Today, the Maison explores the myriad subtleties of the hydrangea flower, from High Jewellery to High Watchmaking.
Indeed, in 2015, Chaumet offers a living interpretation of time, with a new creative complication. The exceptional technical feat gives life to fascinating bouquets of gold and precious stones.
Thanks to a new and exclusive calibre, hydrangea flowers of different shapes and sizes replace the traditional hands. In this creation, nature, movement and time come together to reveal a floral composition animated by two flowers that orchestrate the tempo of hours and minutes. Thus, time evolves in a graceful dance, a ballet of spectacular petals.
Four precious watches play thier part in this performance with elegance and modernity. Hydrangea bouquets blossom at the heart of lace-like mother-of-pearl. Petals and corollas are adorned with diamonds, miniature painting, guiloché and engraving. Delicate open-work hands indicate the hours and minutes with finesse. The dials become enchanting scenes where craft skills and decorative artsmanship are revealed in the smallest details to express the poetry of time.
