I move from one life to another. I play with time. A glance at the dial, an eye elsewhere. It’s already time. One movement, allure adjusted. Mirror. A reflection. A cloudless sky. The street. Sun. Light. My fingers run over the dial lightly.

Time runs on, I know. Mind at rest. A glimpse in the rear-view mirror. Office, emails, meetings. The ceramic watchcase goes along with me, its hands moving onward. A lunch appointment awaits me. Time to make a quick call. A flight to Hong Kong. Meetings. Souvenirs for the children.
 
My J12-365 is there with me. Heart beating away, 365 days a year. School’s out. There on time. Holidays coming soon. Memories with the children. Destinations to dream about. Walking lightly over hot sand.

Date booked. An exhibition. The second-hand runs on, positioned at 6 o’clock. It marks out my day, my year, my life. The mechanics of time. Night falls. A dinner. My J12-365 never leaves me. It’s always there. Here with me. Like a talisman. Much more than just a watch.
