Since its debut in 2000, the J12 has challenged the codes of traditional watchmaking by combining uniqueness and technical performance. A quarter of a century later, it continues to capture the spirit of its era with a new precious version.

In 2025, the CHANEL Watchmaking Creation Studio presents the J12 CALIBER 12.2 in 33 MM, enhanced by gold, baguette-cut diamond baguettes and highly resistant ceramic. Dressed in black or white, its dial is set with baguette-cut diamond indicators, and, for the first time, its bracelet is crafted in polished yellow gold. The black or white sapphire ring with its baguette motif decorates the bezel and offers a play of contrasts.

Designed in Paris by Arnaud Chastaingt, Director of the CHANEL Watchmaking Creation Studio and developed and assembled by the experts of the CHANEL Watch Manufacture, these new interpretations are equipped with an automatic movement that is as aesthetic as it is efficient: the Caliber 12.2. This movement is a miniaturized mechanism whose parts have been readjusted to ensure a unique performance. Visible through a sapphire crystal on the back of the watch, the Caliber 12.2 is decorated and powered by an oscillating mass in plated yellow gold presenting a perfect circle, the CHANEL Watch signature. It is certified as a chronometer by the COSC, Official Swiss Control of Chronometers, and has a power reserve of about 50 hours.
