In 2009, Ralph Lauren premiered three collections of iconic timepieces: the Ralph Lauren Stirrup Collection, the Ralph Lauren Slim Classique Collection and the Ralph Lauren Sporting Collection.

The silhouette of the Ralph Lauren Stirrup Collection watch is unique and immediately identifiable as quintessential of the designer. Inspired by heritage equestrian style, a legacy of fine watchmaking and the celebrated history of Polo Ralph Lauren, the design of this iconic timepiece was meticulously created to become an instant classic.
Featuring cases in white gold, rose gold and platinum, the Ralph Lauren Stirrup watch’s distinct shape is complemented by the refined sophistication of transferred Roman numerals and railroad minute markers as well as black sword-shaped hands and a beautifully cut curved sapphire crystal. For the ultimate in timeless luxury, all three sizes of the Ralph Lauren Stirrup watches are also available in white gold embellished with beautiful, full-cut diamonds—with small and medium versions adorned with one row of brilliant stones, or small and large models featuring full-pavé jewelled cases.
For 2010, Ralph Lauren completes the Ralph Lauren Stirrup pavé watch offering with the introduction of the medium white gold model in diamond pavé. Each pavé timepiece is encased in brilliant-cut diamonds. Set in staggered rows, these diamonds form an uninterrupted surface perfectly harmonized with the complex curves beneath. This flawless union of white gold and diamonds is obtained through the labor-intensive craft of “grain setting” by hand. With the aid of a low power binocular microscope, the artisan manually carves a recess for each stone and carefully draws up the prongs around the diamond.
The crowns of the small and medium watch models are set with an intricately faceted rose-cut diamond. This antique cut gives the gem a dome-like surface, providing a subtle, romantic glow and tactile continuity with the case. Great care has been taken to ensure that each precious stone has been cut and set to match the curved shape of the case. The medium diamond pavé timepiece, for example, is comprised of diamonds of 12 different sizes, a demonstration of Ralph Lauren’s respect of fine jewelry craftsmanship.
Ralph Lauren Stirrup Collection timepieces are offered with a luxurious calf or alligator strap in classic black or deep brown, or a choice of vibrant colors.
Inside, the Ralph Lauren Stirrup Collection watches contain a manually wound or self-winding mechanical Swiss Made movement decorated with vertical Côtes de Geneve and Perlage designs, and the balance wheel operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (small model) or 28,800 vibrations per hour (medium and large models).
