BLANCPAIN, Villeret Tourbillon Heure Sautante Minutes Rétrograde

This model, from the Villeret collection by the Maison Blancpain, is characterized by the purity of its lines. Water-resistant up to 30 meters, the 42 mm red gold case features the iconic double pomme bezel, allowing the dial to fully express itself. Crafted in white grand feu enamel, the dial showcases a magnificent tourbillon at 12 o’clock. It shares the spotlight with a circle at 6 o’clock, housing two other complications: jumping hours and retrograde minutes, with the minute hand taking the form of a hollowed sage leaf. The use of a sapphire case back allows for a view of the underside of the tourbillon as well as the remarkable decoration of the manual-winding movement, which features an anti-magnetic silicon balance spring and offers a comfortable power reserve of 144 hours.

CHOPARD, Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon

With its sporty lines, the 41 mm Chopard Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon watch benefits from the performance and qualities of an exclusive and innovative steel: “Lucent Steel A223.” This hypoallergenic alloy is 50% more resistant to abrasion than standard steel, and its exceptional purity gives it a brilliance comparable to gold. The case is complemented by a bezel featuring eight exposed screws, ensuring water resistance up to 100 meters. Inside, it houses an Aletsch blue dial with a textured surface on a solid gold base, captivating the eye with a design reminiscent of an eagle’s iris. Hypnotic in its presence, it also features a tourbillon at 6 o’clock that, with no interior bridge, appears to float effortlessly. On the back, a sapphire crystal reveals the workings of an in-house movement with dual certification: COSC and the Poinçon de Genève. Thanks to the Chopard Twin technology of two stacked barrels, the movement provides approximately 65 hours of power reserve.

F.P. JOURNE, Répétition Souveraine
The F.P. Journe Maison explores the measurement of time with creativity and technical mastery in the exceptional Répétition Souveraine. With a 40 mm diameter, the watch features a dial protected by a slightly smoked sapphire crystal, offering a glimpse of a meticulously decorated baseplate and bridges crafted from 18-carat rose gold.

Completely pierced, the dial provides a stunning view of the manual winding movement, equipped with two barrels to deliver a power reserve of approximately 56 hours. This ultra-thin minute repeater caliber—measuring just 4.5 mm in thickness—is the result of two critical technical innovations. The first is the use of ultra-flat gongs, which produce a louder and clearer sound than traditional gongs. Instead of being positioned around the movement, they are placed on the dial side, freeing up space for other components. The second innovation is an unprecedented system of racks and hammers, known as the “Répétition Souveraine”. This system uses the same hammer to chime both the hours and minutes. In the absence of quarters, a pause is automatically inserted between the hour and minute chimes. However, the quarter-hour chimes are struck with two distinct tones, as is customary. Lastly, and notably, the watch is crafted in steel—a material chosen specifically to enhance sound transmission, ensuring exceptional acoustic performance.

GERALD CHARLES, Maestro 8.0 Squelette

The Maestro 8.0 Skeleton is presented on a dark gray rubber strap that perfectly complements the shape of the 18-carat rose gold case, as well as the sandblasted, polished bridges with anthracite gray bevels. These architectural elements provide a breathtaking view of the automatic movement, which boasts a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. The dial, featuring luminescent gold hands and a subtle rose gold minute track, also incorporates an off-center rose gold micro-rotor housed in a star-shaped cage. This geometry reflects the celestial theme envisioned by Octavio Garcia when conceptualizing the movement: a map of the starry sky. Elegantly unconventional, the piece is water-resistant to 100 meters.
