LES DIX CONSEILS A SUIVRE POUR LES VACANCES

Make a professional check the water-resistance of your watch to avoid problems while going to swim or diving.
2 – Check the water-resistance of your watch. Be careful 1 ATH equals 10 m. So, 10 ATH equals 100 m. Do not scuba dive either extreme water sports with a watch water-resistant to less than 150 m.
3 – Rinse your watch with freshwater after going to swim in the sea or in a swimming pool. And, after going to the beach because the sand like the salt and the chlorine are also enemies of the watch.

4 – Make sure the chrono pushbuttons and the winding crown are properly pushed or screwed down before going to swim.
5 – Avoid going to swim with a leather strap
6 – Check the condition of the clasp or your folding clasp before departure.
7 – Do not leave the watch in full sunlight. It is bad for the mechanical watches’ oils and the battery in quartz watches.

8 –Keep your watches safe before going on vacation. A safe at your home is good, a safe in your bank is better!

If you take a plane, take your watches with you as your cabin luggage and think oftaking the receipt or a picture of the receipt in your mobile phone!

9 – Never put watches in the hold luggage! They are sometimes searched by malevolent people and even sometimes lost by the airline!
10 – Take with you the receipt of the watch or the warranty card to cross the borders. Otherwise, take a picture with your mobile phone.
