Inaugured in 2010, the Royal Mansour Marrakech is the jewel of the Moroccan hostel industry, with a notoriety which crossed the borders long time ago. Indeed, awarded many times, this palace is a masterpiece of Arabo-Andalusian architecture which great main door protects its inside magic. You will discover over time all the secrets hidden by this hotel, be it high-quality services, wonderful gastronomy, or absolute well-being.

Made of chiselled bronze, cedar wood and sculpted plaster, the Royal Mansour Marrakech’s door has nothing to envy to its older sisters of the imperial cities.

8h30 am – Intimate breakfast in one of the private riads of the Royal Mansour Marrakech.

Born from the creativity of the Marrakech craftsmen, the Royal Mansour’s riads boast the joy of a private pool.

The day begins slowly with a breakfast served in our riad, which door opens directly onto one of the palace alleyways, conceived like a medina. Like in the fifty-three other private houses with traditional and sophisticated decoration, a private butler discreetly waits on us. Indeed, original feature, the underground tunnels used by the staff were devised so that they can come and go quietly. In our plate, “choice” is the watchword. Because all restaurants in the Royal Mansour propose their dishes. And a Chef is available if one wish for a personalized meal.

At any time of the day, for an intimate, family, or friendly meal, the four restaurants’ menus of the palace are available to the guests

10h15 – Lounging at the Royal Mansour Marrakech spa

The Royal Mansour spa spreads on 2 500 sqm and three levels dedicated to relaxation and wellbeing – Video: Youtube channel of the Royal Mansour Marrakech.

In a country where “baths” are a real tradition, there can be no leisure trip without taking care of ourselves. The 2500 sqm of the Royal Mansour spa propose an only word : relaxation. Hammams, hair salon, gym and beauty care.

Enter the spa through the white iron lacing of the atrium, reminding a birdcage, bathed in natural light for a unique feeling of quietness.

At the heart of its atrium of white laced iron walls reminding a bird cage, we opt for the benefits of a hammam. Topped off by a black soap scrub under the skilled hands of a beautician with insightful advice.

At the hammam, skilled hands perform a black soap scrub with a loufa.

Summum of luxury, three suites can be privatized for clients who like their privacy.

12h45 – At lunch time…

La décoration du Sesamo s'inspire des palais vénitiens
New Italian table in the hotel, the Sesamo is decorated like the great Venitian palaces.

Gourmandise oblige! Our choice went to the new restaurant of the Royal Mansour: the Sesamo. Launched at the end of December 2019, this Italian cuisine with Moroccan accents is orchestrated by starred chef Massimiliano Alajmo. With a Venetian decoration, this temple of gourmet food invites us to a Venetian-inspired tasting which our palates still remember. For instance, the signature dessert “Open Sesame, Apriti Sesamo”. A filled sesame nougat sphere, saffron garnished almonds, neroli and almond mousse, passion fruits and citrus sauce…

14h20 – Tan perfecting at the Royal Mansour Marrakech’s pool

The central pool of the Royal Mansour Marrakech harmoniously blends into the luxuriant garden. Sunbaths, shaded terraces and sand-colored furniture surround the turquoise waters.

Quick digestive rest at the hotel pool before going in for a swim. Nestled at the heart of the hotel garden, this 30m by 20m pool is doubtlessly one of the key features of this remarkable establishment. Perfect place to lounge in the sun or sip a delicious cocktail. Where we take the opportunity to finish a book begun weeks ago. We take our time, finally…

17h00 – Moroccan hour teatime and stroll in the Royal Mansour’s gardens

Orange flowers in spring, honeysuckle and jasmine, roses, then the discreet scented blossom of silverberry in autumn perfume the garden all year long –Video: Youtube channel of the Royal Mansour Marrakech.

By the pool, tea on the Jardin’s terrace – fourth table of the palace – is a must. Candied clementine, frosted coconuts and some chocolate sweets, the pastry and ice cream chef creations are irresistible. All those sweet temptations notwithstanding, chef Yannick Alléno’s cuisine is a perfect symbiosis fo Asian and Mediterranean delicacies.

Le restaurant le Jardin
Under the guidance of Yannick Alléno, the restaurant Le Jardin stands out with Asian and Mediterranean influences.

We enjoy the opportunity to literally get lost in the surrounding gardens before coming back to our riad. Under the shade of wide palm tree leaves, orange blossoms and honeysuckle scents blend together with the sweetness of jasmine and roses. An oasis of fragrances, a delight for the senses.

Guests have their own private houses which door directly opens onto one of the alleyways of the medina’s garden.

20h30 – Where to dine tonight?

Between fusion and tradition, the Grand Table Marocaine establishes itself as one of the greatest references of the country.

In addition to the Sesamo and the Jardin, the Royal Mansour houses two other restaurants. Which pertain to the greatest menus of the country. Depending on your desires, you will choose the Grande Table Marocaine. It delivers its traditional and gourmet dishes where the emblematic lamb shoulder is side by side with the sea bream tajine with purple olives. Or maybe you will choose La Table, for a simpler and convivial cuisine.

At any time of the day, La Table offers exceptional produce treated with great simplicity.

22h45 – relaxation: Cigar Bar, Fireplace Lounge and Library

Around a great cognac, we end this idyllic stay in the cigar bar where we will stay talking until late in the night. For others, the fireplace lounge and the library will be havens for a romantic night under the rhythm of a piano.
