DESCRIPTION

  • Pasha de Cartier skeleton flying tourbillon watch
    Geneva Seal

For many years, Cartier has offered a modern interpretation of skeletonised watchmaking.
This signature Cartier feature acquired a new dimension in 2009 with the appearance of the first skeleton in which the bridges of the movement, shaped like Roman numerals, acted as the dial of the watch.

Today, Cartier has taken this spectacular interplay of full and empty spaces even further with the Pasha de Cartier watch.
This iconic model, one of the great Cartier classics, is powered by the Calibre 9457 MC, a movement with a specially developed flying tourbillon escapement. For the first time, its bridges represent Arabic numerals, which have always been one of the distinctive features of the Pasha de Cartier watch.

New elegance with the Cartier watchmaking signature
This model has a diameter of 42 mm and a movement whose transparency contrasts with the powerful impact of a design embellished with hand-performed finishes, such as bevelled bridges, satin-brushed sides and circular-grained wheels. This version of the Pasha watch, stamped with the Geneva Seal*, reinterprets the elegance of contrast and lightness in watchmaking.

It is a work of art fashioned in white gold with striking graphics, including the engraved numerals 3, 9 and 12 with black transfers, which frame the flying tourbillon’s carriage at six o'clock. A play on solids and spaces reveals a movement driven by a skeletonised barrel whose spring remains fully visible: the Calibre 9457 MC.

Produced in a limited edition of 100 timepieces, this new interpretation of the skeleton watch marks the official entry of the Pasha model into the Cartier Fine Watchmaking Collection.

*Stamped with the Geneva Seal, the Calibre 9457 MC is accompanied by an individually numbered certificate of origin guaranteeing that the movement meets the criteria of excellence set out by the Office for the Voluntary Inspection of Watches from Geneva.
