Shéhérazade Tourbillon: Seduction from the Orient
Europe has often fantasised the Orient as a Garden of Eden, full of fragrant spices and fabulous palaces. Today still, these dreamlike lands’ evocative power resonates with our emotions… like the tales Shéhérazade told the Persian king for one thousand and one nights to avoid certain death: so fascinated was he by each unfinished tale that he spared her life, morning after morning. In a poetic whirlwind, memories intertwine in oriental arabesques formed by the murmur of refreshing fountains and exhilarating essences of lemon and pistachio.
Fascinating in that it seems to have captured the essence of the East, the Shéhérazade Tourbillon watch, sculpted from white gold, has the power to evoke these Oriental tales, as if a genie had risen from a lamp. Striking as traditional jewellery can be, glittering with dozens of little coins, with their seamed or beaded circles, catching the eye of the beholder, carried away by the stones’ dazzle and craftsmanship deployed.
