OMEGA, Seamaster Diver 300M

Orange truly is the befitting colour of this watch! That fruity colour is displayed in discreet touches: the seconds hand’s varnish, the four indices representing the four cardinal points and the collection’s name.

Omega’s new Seamaster Diver 300M.

This tint was not chosen at random: highly visible underwater, this symbol of safety creates a strong contrast on the black aluminium dial and its rhodium plated skeletonized hands coated in Super-LumiNova® that glows blue in the dark. This new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M watch, with a 42mm stainless-steel case, encompasses all the features of a real diver’s watch.

The seconds hand and the indices representing the four cardinal points stand out with their orange varnish.

Add on top of these, a helium release valve located at 10 o’clock, a scalloped unidirectional rotating bezel, a screwed-down crown and a guaranteed water-resistant feature to 300 meters. As for the mechanical aspect, we are in the presence of Omega’s well-known precision and performances. The Co-Axial calibre certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) is highly resistant to magnetic fields – up to 15,000 gauss – and offers a power reserve of about 55 hours.

The sapphire crystal back case reveals the movement’s cogs, including an oscillating weight finely engraved with arabesque Côtes de Genève waves. Cherry on top: this watch is available either with Milanese mesh straps or integrated orange rubber straps, for a sport-like look.

HERBELIN, Cap Camarat GMT

Re-designed from a 1970 model, the self-winding Cap Camarat by Herbelin is available in a GMT edition, with a manual worldtimer.

Herbelin’s Cap Camarat GMT watch

Especially designed for globetrotters, its double time zone function offers a convenient legibility: a red hand and a 24 hours day (blue)/night (silver) scale allows the wearer to see both the local time and the time of the second time zone. The worldtimer – embodied by the inner rotating rehaut that can be set with a screwed-down crown at 2:30 o’clock – offers the wearer to check the 24 world time zones thanks to the different reference cities written on the rehaut.

With its horizontal grooves, the navy-blue sun-brushed dial showcases the bevelled indices and the rectangular faceted hands.

In a sport-chic fashion, this watch keeps its vintage spirit: a six-sided 42mm case made of brushed and polished steel, luminescent hands and indices, navy-blue sun-brushed dial with horizontal grooves and a bezel adorned by screws. With an integrated bracelet, this model is water-resistant to 100 meters. It is powered by a Swiss self-winding movement (Sellita SW330-2) that is both reliable and accurate, with a power reserve of about 56 hours.
